Composite Veneers

With composite veneers, the dentist only needs to remove a very thin layer of the tooth surface. The result is immediately visible after treatment. Together with the dentist, you first choose the desired shade. The dentist can show you what the result will look like. A thin layer of the tooth is then shaved down to make space for the veneer.

Before bonding, the tooth is treated with an acid and an adhesive layer is applied. The soft composite is then shaped on the tooth, hardened with a special blue light, and finally polished for a natural result. You can immediately see the final look and request any small adjustments.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are made in a dental laboratory and are more resistant to staining. They are also slightly thicker than composite veneers. During your first appointment, you and the dentist choose the shade from color samples. The veneer is then custom-made in the dental lab.

At the second appointment, part of the tooth and enamel is removed to make room for the veneer. The tooth is then treated with acid and bonding agent before the porcelain veneer is permanently placed. Once bonded, porcelain veneers cannot be adjusted.
